### AI overview

Google is reportedly testing Flipkart purchases within Gemini and AI Mode in Google Search in India. Selected listings include a Buy button that opens a Flipkart-branded checkout within the AI interface. The limited test illustrates a broader shift toward transactions within AI products, with monetisation opportunities constrained by access to shopping platforms.

### Source excerpt

Google is further aiming for a wider rollout of the feature in October this year, ahead of the festive shopping season in India, as per the report.
