### AI overview

Google announces Agent Anomaly Detection in private preview on the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. The feature analyzes agents' reasoning traces, tool calls, logs, and execution flows to identify behavioral anomalies, suspicious intent, and policy violations.

### Source excerpt

Agent Anomaly Detection is a new, out-of-band oversight layer for the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform that analyzes OpenTelemetry traces and tool calls to catch behavioral risks without adding runtime latency to live requests. It utilizes a multi-tiered detection pipeline--combining lightweight statistical scanning with deep LLM-based reasoning--to identify logical anomalies and policy violations grounded in the OWASP Agentic Top 10. Developers can triage these automated findings within Security Command Center or leverage the exposed API to programmatically block subsequent tool calls when an agent breaches defined risk thresholds.

### AI overview

BotHub has released a desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Built with Electron, it provides access to the platform's AI models and chats in a standalone window, and includes a screen-recording protection feature that hides the app's content during screen sharing.

### Source excerpt

### AI overview

Google introduced two native speech-to-speech models: Gemini 3.8 Live, focused on scale and cost, and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking, designed for multi-step tasks with reasoning during dialogue. The article discusses direct audio processing, asynchronous function calls, visual context, multilingual conversations, SynthID watermarking, pricing, and availability through the Gemini API and Google AI Studio.

### Source excerpt

### Source excerpt

This blog post explores how to transition AI agents from static, build-time security controls to dynamic runtime governance using the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. It highlights three primary managed defenses: Model Armor for screening edge prompts, Semantic Governance Policies for evaluating tool intent against business rules, and Agent Anomaly Detection for catching multi-turn exploits. By shifting these capabilities to the platform level, security administrators can dynamically enforce policies and neutralize complex attacks without needing to modify or redeploy the agent's underlying code.

Tool: Gemini Live audio Google released Gemini 3.8 Live and 3.8 Live Extended Thinking today - two new speech-to-speech models that are a similar shape to OpenAI's GPT-Live family. I pointed GPT-6 Astra Extra High at the documentation and had it build me this web UI for trying out the new models. You can select a model and voice preset, enter an optional system prompt and then start a voice conversation through your browser, including the ability to interrupt the model while it is talking. The implementation uses no libraries. It connects to the wss://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/ws/google.ai.generativelanguage.v1alpha.GenerativeService.BidiGenerateContent?key=... WebSocket endpoint and uses a Web Audio API AudioContext for both capture and playback. Here's the Gemini Live tutorial for getting started with that WebSockets API. Moving live voice agents from demo to production requires rigorous, automated testing to handle the unpredictability of real multi-turn conversations. ADK now provides native live evaluation, allowing developers to test graph-based agent workflows against LLM-driven simulated users that generate actual audio via Gemini TTS. By defining evaluation scenarios and natural-language rubrics, you can automatically score audio responses and tool executions, inspect the resulting transcripts in ADK Web, or run the CLI directly in your CI/CD pipeline.

### AI overview

The article presents Sprites as disposable cloud computers for coding agents and explains using their API through MCP. It argues that MCP transport and progressive capability disclosure can work together, including through plugins and skills.

### Source excerpt

Sprites are disposable cloud computers. They appear instantly, always include durable filesystems, and cost practically nothing when idle. They're the best and safest place on the Internet to run agents and we want you to create dozens of them. Sprites are a place to run agents; the first thing you should think to do with a new Sprite is to type claude (or gemini or codex). We've put a lot of effort into making sure coding agents feel safe and happy when they're on Sprites, because, to (probably) quote John von Neumann, "happy agents are productive agents." What's less obvious about Sprites is that they're great tools for agents. Want three different versions of a new feature? A test environment? An ensemble of cooperating services? It's super handy to be able to start your prompts, "On a new Sprite, do...". The Sprites API is simple, discoverable, and designed for this use case. The only real question is how your agent reaches it. For most of you the answer is MCP, and the setup is already written. You Don't Have To Pick There's an argument going around that MCP is the wrong way to extend an agent, and that command line tools and discoverable APIs are the Right Way. Half of that argument is correct, and it's the important half, so let's take it seriously. Dumping thirty tool descriptions into a context window is a bad way to teach anything. Not every Sprite command matters in every session, and cramming them all in signals to the model that they all matter to you. If you're not using network policies, gemini shouldn't burn a single token learning to configure them. Capabilities should reveal themselves progressively, the way they do when an agent works out a CLI one subcommand at a time. The wrong half is treating that as a case against MCP. Progressive disclosure is a question of what you say to the model. MCP is a question of how the bytes get there: transport, auth, structured results, a tool the model can call instead of a command whose flags it has to guess. Tho
