This tutorial explains how to unlock an encrypted LUKS root remotely over SSH on Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. It describes adding NetworkManager and an SSH server to the dracut initramfs, configuring networking, rebuilding the initramfs, and using the rd.neednet=1 kernel argument.

### Source excerpt

An encrypted server in a datacenter reboots and stops in the initramfs, waiting for a passphrase at a console nobody is sitting at. 3 commands and a kernel argument get NetworkManager and sshd into a Fedora or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) initramfs, so a remote server with an encrypted root can be unlocked over the network. The post Unlock a LUKS root over SSH on Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux appeared first on Red Hat Developer.

### AI overview

Vercel's AI SDK harness layer now supports Cline through the official @ai-sdk/harness-cline adapter. Cline uses the shared HarnessAgent interface, runs in the host process, and accesses the sandbox as a remote filesystem and shell.

### Source excerpt

The AI SDK harness layer lets you run established coding-agent runtimes through one unified interface, so you can switch runtimes without changing your application code. Today we are adding Cline, which runs through the same HarnessAgent interface as other supported harness. @ai-sdk/harness-cline is the official harness adapter for Cline, implemented in collaboration with the Cline team. Cline runs fully in the host process and uses the sandbox as a remote filesystem and shell, so only its tools operate in the sandbox. No bridge process is installed inside the sandbox, similar to the existing Pi harness. Read the Cline harness documentation to get started. The full supported list of harnesses is now: Claude Code, Cline, Codex, Deep Agents, Grok Build, OpenCode, and Pi, with more coming soon. Read more

Turborepo and Vercel Remote Cache now support exchanging OIDC tokens from CI/CD workflows for short-lived Turborepo access tokens. The article recommends migrating from long-lived Personal Access Tokens to OIDC and explains where to configure the required policy.

### Source excerpt

You can now exchange OIDC tokens from CI/CD workflows, including GitHub workflows, for short-lived Turborepo access tokens. These tokens grant access to Vercel's Remote Cache, and are a more secure alternative to long-lived Personal Access Tokens (PATs). OIDC tokens are short-lived, only grant access to Vercel Remote Cache, and are associated with your Vercel team, rather than a specific team member. We recommend all customers migrate their CI/CD workflows from PATs to OIDC.
