Demos PineNote The PineNote was shown off at FOSDEM with a few demos featuring hrdl's Arch image and a pre-release image of QuillOS using hrdl's kernel tree. Some demos included smoothly playing videos, playing doom (you had to be there to believe it!) along with its capabilities as an actual ebook reader. Two years later one of the principal architects of, and beneficiaries of, that disaster will step onto the same stage. Even if our community hadn't been directly harmed by Dorsey's actions, I don't think that we owe this honor to someone who took a billion dollars to ruin their project, ostracize their users, and destroy the livelihoods of almost everyone who worked on it. Some were well-know names and faces, that are already familiar with the state of things, while others were surprised that Linux on Mobile "is a thing". Most importantly though, it was one of those rare moments in life to physically meet your collaborators. And while we did not manage to do a live-podcast as the postmarketOS contributors did, we did have beer, dinner, talks, and fun together.
